Janice Trusky has an MFA degree with focused studies on Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Art History. She studied Renaissance Art History and Plein Air Landscape Painting in Italy and worked with children in South Dakota on the Rosebud Reservation for the Sicangu Sioux Tribe.
Janice lectured at the College Art Association (CAA) Conference in Seattle where she presented professional guidelines for studio classes which use live models. The guidelines were accepted by the CAA’s Professional Practices Committee. Janice has taught at the International Studies University in Shanghai, China through JNC and Seminole State College, FL.
Currently, she teaches at Penn State University, Montgomery County Community College and has taught at Temple University, and Gwynedd Mercy University.
Janice is a board member of the IAC, Indiana Arts Council. She presented at the AAUW, American Association of University Women, Impacting Community Action on Education in Rural PA, with Indiana Commissioner Sherene Hess.
She was the juror for the 2023 Youths Arts Celebration, where awards were given to the best youth artists in Indiana County, PA. and is currently the Selection Juror for Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art’s, Biennial 2024.
Exhibiting mostly in New York and Pennsylvania her studio is in Indiana, PA.
