Janice Trusky has an MFA degree with focused studies on Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Art History. She studied Renaissance Art History and Plein Air Landscape Painting in Italy and worked with children in South Dakota on the Rosebud Reservation for the Sicangu Sioux Tribe.
Janice lectured at the College Art Association (CAA) Conference in Seattle where she presented professional guidelines for studio classes which use live models. The guidelines were accepted by the CAA’s Professional Practices Committee.
Currently, she teaches at Montgomery County Community College, PA and Seminole State College of FL. She has taught at Temple University, Penn State University, Gwynedd Mercy University, and the International Studies University in Shanghai, China through JNC and Seminole State College, FL.
She juried the 2023 Youths Arts Celebration, where awards were given to the best youth artists in Indiana County, PA. and was the Selection Juror for Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art’s, Biennial 2024. Janice is currently Vice President of the Indiana Arts Council of Pennsylvania.
In 2024 Janice started ArtRep LLC, helping other artists and founding ICAST, Indiana County Artist Studio Tour.
